Swimming, Chicken Fights and....floating?

We went up to Park City, UT and went swimming at Grandma & pa Guffeys timeshare. Uncle Patrick was there too from Chicago. It was fun to see him again.

My sister, Michelle, is having her first child! Who would have thought this day would ever come? We were laughing hysterically that when she floats her boobs and belly were poking out of the water.

Jaron turns 9!

Jaron had his birthday in Utah this year since Uncle Wade had his graduation on the same day. But everyone made it super special for him and we had a party with Grandma & pa Daniels, Grandma & pa Guffey, James & Tara, and Wade & Angie.
I just love my Jaron! He's funny, enthusiastic, caring and such a handsome stud!

DR. 'D'

I have said this so many times before - but my brother is honestly one of the funniest people I know! He was obviously having tassle issues and I was cracking up!

Lets just say - when Wade crossed the stage, it got LOUD! I mean really loud. Us Daniels know how get noticed. Even the guy handing out the diplomas said "Wow, you can't miss them" Wade replied, "Yeah, they're a spirited bunch"! (too say the least)

WAY TO GO WADE! We are SO proud of you!

And this is my amazing sister-in-law who has supported him through all his schooling and now his residency! So, she's basically a single mom raising two super cute boys.

Poetry Tea Party

Jaron had to memorize a poem and perform it in front of his class and their parents. They practiced a lot at home and at school. Jaron not only memorized his poem, but more than half the class' poems too. He's got a great memory. His poem was entitled 'Something Missing' by Shel Silverstein.
I remember I put on my socks,
I remember I put on my shoes.
I remember I put on my tie
That was painted
In beautiful purples and blues.
I remember I put on my coat
To look perfectly grand at the dance,
Yet I feel there is something I may have forgot-
What is it? What is it?...
A perfect Jaron poem.

Preschool field trip

Jen took us to her sister-in-laws house to have the girls go horseback riding. They had a ton of fun even amidst the arguing of who got more turns than who. Funny girls.

Pinocchio

Jordan had her Spring recital. She performed amazingly - even when she led the girls into the leaping circle three times. But hey, they followed her....all three times.

Mothers Day

We did EXACTLY what I would have wanted to do for Mothers Day. We went with our good friends the Wolffs and hiked Table Rock. Then we had an awesome picnic and let the kids climb trees (John included) and just kick back and relax. It was an awesome day!

A little chalk goes a long way....

Need I say more?

Jaron and Moms BLACK BELT TESTING!

The day had finally arrived that Jaron and I get to reap the rewards of our hard work. Many many hours of practicing and perfecting. I think we were both pretty nervous, but we'd been on this form for 14 weeks now and felt confident that we knew it. I was just hoping my nerves didn't interfere with my brain working. The memorization was probably the hardest part of any of the forms for me. I enjoy the technical work of all the moves and the details involved in each form.

Jordans Karate Testing

Jordan just started sparring! We keep her in karate to counter balance the overly girly side of her. She is a firecracker and really good at karate!

Girls will be girls

This is Jordan and one of her most favorite friends Lauren. This is what they do EVERY time they get together....dress up!

What to do with all that $$$

For Jordans birthday, she was given money from her grandma and grandpas. So...she went shopping to her hearts desire! She decided on multiple art projects. She made two hot chocolate mugs and Sandart. Here is some of the fun she had.

Jordans Birthday - 5 years old!

They aren't kidding when they say time flies. My baby girl is 5 and as sassy as ever! She has been doing karate (and ballet) go figure, for quite a few months now. She is strong and packs a good punch (makes her momma proud). She decided to treat all her friends to a karate birthday. The Colbergs put on quite the party and the girls (and my boys) had a blast!
